How to save an iPhone Live Photo as a video for a Telegram tool
Export a Live Photo as a video in Apple Photos, review motion and sound, and send the right file to Spoofzy’s Video Studio in Telegram.
Save the Live Photo as a video in Apple Photos, check the exported clip, then attach that video as a file. A standalone HEIC still is not the video input required by Spoofzy’s Distinct Frames workflow.
Save the Live Photo as a video in Photos
Open the Live Photo in the iPhone Photos app. Use the More button in the upper-right corner and choose Save as Video. Apple says the new clip appears in Recently Saved, while the original remains in the Live Photos collection.
Select that new video for the next step. It is easy to reopen the original Live Photo and accidentally send a still or a different sharing representation. Give the saved clip a quick playback check before leaving Photos.
- Find the intended Live Photo and open it individually.
- Choose More → Save as Video.
- Open the new clip in Recently Saved and check that it contains the expected motion.
- Keep the Live Photo as your source while reviewing the exported video.
Review motion, timing and sound before uploading
Apple Photos lets you trim a Live Photo, mute it and change its key photo. Review the actual saved video rather than assuming its thumbnail tells the whole story. A strong still frame can sit inside a clip with an awkward movement or unwanted sound.
Play the short clip from start to finish. Check whether the moment you want survives, whether the subject remains sharp and whether any background conversation belongs in the eventual output. If the source is too blurred or contains almost no useful motion, choose another asset before running a processing job.
Send the saved video to the selected tool
Open Video Studio in Spoofzy’s Telegram bot and choose the workflow you need. For still-image options, choose Distinct Frames. Then attach the saved video through Telegram’s File option and follow the bot’s prompt. Review the filename and size so you know you selected the clip rather than the original still.
Check the current product limits before uploading. Supported MOV videos and Live Photos saved as video work with Distinct Frames, but not every codec or container is supported. If the bot rejects the file, inspect its actual video format and the tool’s limit instead of merely changing the extension.

Treat the returned images as candidates
Distinct Frames can return up to 12 visually different JPEG images. A very short or nearly static clip may offer little variety. The maximum count is not a promise of 12 useful photographs, and extracting frames does not recreate detail missing from the source video.
Open the candidates at a useful viewing size and keep only those that serve the brief. Check eyes, facial expressions, motion blur, framing and any text in view. Compare the best candidate with the source Live Photo’s key image; the original still may already be the better choice for a particular post.
- Keep the selected output’s filename with its source reference.
- Reject near-duplicates that add no useful choice for the posting team.
- Check the delivery copy’s metadata separately if the recipient should not receive it.
- Get the required approval for the actual file that will be shared.
Start with one file worth preparing.
